Brighton have secured the signature of 18‑year‑old Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm for £21.5m. The five‑year deal kicks in when the summer window opens on 15 June, adding a pace‑youth to a squad that finished mid‑table last season. Manager Fabian Hurzeler praised Yohanna’s ability to create chances in the final third. He joins a midfield featuring veteran James Ward‑Prowse and rising star Kaoru Mitoma.

Yohanna arrived at AIK from Nigeria’s Ikon Allah Football Academy and has logged 18 appearances since his August 2025 debut, contributing five goals and four assists. Those numbers signal a direct impact in a league where young wingers rarely dominate, and they suggest he could add a new dimension to Brighton’s attacking options. His pace and dribbling have drawn interest from several European clubs.

While the teenager will need time to adjust to the Premier League’s physicality, Hurzeler expects his creativity to please the Seagulls’ fanbase. The transfer pushes Brighton’s summer spend beyond the £20m mark, a sign they are willing to invest heavily to climb the table. Yohanna’s arrival therefore represents a tangible upgrade to the club’s width on the flank. Fans will watch his debut eagerly.
