Shakhtar Donetsk are in negotiations with Brentford to host Champions League matches at the Gtech Community Stadium, as confirmed by BBC Sport. The Ukrainian club, directly entering the 2026-27 competition's league phase, has been displaced from its home stadium due to the Russian invasion. Last season, their matches were held in Ljubljana and Krakow.

A Shakhtar official noted discussions with UK and German venues, though no decision has been made. Uefa has no objections to the move, contingent on local approvals. Brentford, known for renting their stadium for friendlies and the World Sevens Football tournament, views this as a revenue opportunity.
