Enes Unal has left Bournemouth to rejoin Spanish club Getafe on a free transfer. The 29-year-old Turkey striker endured an injury-hit time in England, making 58 appearances and scoring five goals for the Cherries. Bournemouth could receive up to £1.3m in bonuses as well as 20% of any future sale.

Unal initially arrived on loan from Getafe in January 2024 before making the move permanent for about £13m later that year. Bournemouth, keen to reduce their wage bill, released a statement thanking Unal for his "positive contribution both on and off the pitch."

The club is now working on a deal to allow full-back Max Aarons to leave as they near completion of their summer transfer business.
