Arsenal's head of sports science performance Tom Allen will leave the club this summer, becoming the third member of the backroom staff to depart. The departures follow a comprehensive review involving external medical expert Joaquin Acedo, who maintains a working relationship with manager Mikel Arteta dating back to their time together at Everton. Sources indicate Acedo has exerted considerable influence over the restructuring decisions.

Allen joins head of medical Dr Zaf Iqbal and lead performance coach Sam Wilson in exiting the club as Arsenal aims to strengthen their support staff ahead of defending their Premier League crown while addressing the injury concerns that plagued their campaign.
