Arsenal Women have completed the signing of England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich. The 27‑year‑old arrives after a four‑year spell in the Bundesliga where she collected eight trophies. Stanway described the move as “an unbelievable feeling,” praising Arsenal’s ambition and its passionate fanbase. The deal finalises Arsenal’s summer midfield overhaul, Bayern confirmed it before the window closed.

During her time at Manchester City, Stanway won a WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups before heading to Germany. Internationally she has netted 33 goals in 93 caps and featured in England’s European Championship victories in 2022 and 2025. Her versatility lets her play centrally or on the wing, giving the coach tactical flexibility.

Coach Renee Slegers welcomed the addition, calling Stanway a “brilliant midfielder” who will bring a winning mentality to the squad. With pre‑season underway, Arsenal aim to translate the new midfield spark into a title challenge, bolstered by a fanbase eager for trophies and a boost to the club’s commercial profile.
