Reds manager Arne Slot confirmed Alisson felt discomfort during the final moments of a training session and was deemed unfit to travel.

Slot told reporters that after consulting with medical staff, the decision was made for Alisson to remain in Liverpool while the squad flew to Istanbul. The goalkeeper's absence is a significant blow to Liverpool's defensive lineup, though Slot expressed optimism about Alisson's availability for the upcoming Premier League fixture against Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday. The Dutch manager indicated the injury is not considered serious.
