Aberdeen's Scottish Cup fifth-round match against Motherwell has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Pittodrie Stadium. This marks the second evening fixture at the stadium called off this week due to persistent heavy rain. The initial match against Celtic was also affected, and has been rescheduled for March 4th.

Motherwell's cup tie with Aberdeen has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 18th. All tickets purchased for the original match will remain valid. The decision was made to prevent fans from beginning their travel to Aberdeen, given the expectation of continued rainfall. Seven other Scottish Cup ties are scheduled over the weekend and are currently unaffected by weather concerns.

Fans can still look forward to other Scottish Cup action. Airdrieonians will host St Mirren on Friday, while Celtic faces Dundee on Saturday. Rangers will play Queen's Park on Sunday, with several games broadcast on BBC Scotland. The postponement is a disappointment for both teams and their supporters.
