JAPANNEXT has listed the JN-MD-IPS7443, a compact 7.8-inch IPS portable display with a vertical 400 x 1280 resolution in a 5:16 aspect ratio. Measuring 211 x 74 x 15 mm, it is designed for chat apps and status displays. The panel offers 60 Hz refresh rate, 550 cd/m² brightness, 900:1 contrast ratio, and a glossy surface.

It lacks adaptive sync, HDR, flicker-free, and touch support. A dedicated stand allows vertical-to-horizontal switching, requiring Windows 11 for orientation changes (macOS unsupported). Connectivity includes one USB-C and one mini-HDMI port, both supporting 400 x 1280 at 60 Hz; mini-HDMI needs separate USB-C power.

No built-in speakers. Power draw is up to 5 W under load and 0.5 W in standby. Available only on JAPANNEXT’s Japanese website, worldwide availability is uncertain.

Priced at 14,480 yen (~$94) with a two-year warranty.
