Woods entered a plea of not guilty earlier the same day to the charges.

Authorities detailed Woods’ condition following the crash, noting he was sweating profusely and moved lethargically when interviewed by Deputy Tatiana Levenar. He refused a blood or urine test for drugs after a breath test showed no alcohol. Woods cited numerous past surgeries on his back and right leg as contributing factors to his physical state during the roadside assessment.

Documents reviewed by deputies revealed Woods had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket, a drug found in his system during a separate 2017 DUI arrest. Despite his recent appearance in the TGL finals, his competitive status for the upcoming Masters tournament was already uncertain due to ongoing physical issues.

The PGA Tour issued a statement affirming their complete support for Woods as he takes this necessary time away, prioritizing his well-being over his professional commitments. His attorney has formally demanded a jury trial for the current Martin County charges.
