Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro Review: Beats Samsung, Google on Battery Life

Huawei's new Watch GT 7 Pro launches in the U.K. for £379 ($511), with launch incentives dropping the price to £329 ($443) and bundling a free Huawei Scale 3 and Huawei Care+. The standout feature remains battery life: the GT 7 Pro delivers a full week of heavy use—including daily exercise, always-on display, and 24/7 health monitoring—versus just over two days for the Pixel Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 9. Disabling the always-on mode extends longevity to roughly 10 days.

Design-wise, the 46mm titanium alloy case with ceramic bezel weighs 55g and retains the rotating crown for navigation. The new "Easy Cross" fluoroelastomer band tucks cleanly underneath. A bright 1.47-inch AMOLED panel, 5ATM and IP69 water resistance (dive-ready to 40 meters), dual-band GPS, and NFC round out the hardware.

Health tracking includes heart rate, SpO2, ECG, A-fib analysis, emotional wellbeing, sleep tracking, and a new readiness score. Fitness modes emphasize skiing and cycling, though gym workouts like HIIT and treadmill runs performed well. The watch runs a lightweight RTOS, meaning no third-party app installation, but the core experience remains polished and long-lasting.
