Los Angeles police have arrested musician D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, in connection with the death of 13-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teen's severely decomposed body was discovered in the trunk of Burke's Tesla after it had been towed to an impound lot in September 2024.

Authorities found the remains in a car that had been parked on a public street for weeks before being towed. The Los Angeles County medical examiner identified the body as Hernandez, who went missing from her Lake Elsinore home in 2024. Burke, 21, has millions of social media followers and created the anthem for Fortnite, with his major-label debut "Withered" released last year.

Burke was touring when his car was towed and had several concerts in the Midwest that week. Multiple performances were canceled after Hernandez's body was discovered. He is being held without bail while prosecutors prepare the case for Monday. A lawyer for Burke did not immediately respond to comment requests.
