NBA superstar LeBron James, 41, has announced he will join the Philadelphia 76ers for his final NBA contract. James, the league's all-time leading scorer, departed the Los Angeles Lakers last month after eight seasons.

"I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energise a new fanbase and start this incredible journey one last time," James stated on X. The four-time NBA champion's decision comes after speculation linking him to several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.

Interestingly, the Miami Heat mistakenly posted a link to a press conference for James earlier this week, which a spokesperson attributed to staff preparing for a potential return. James expressed his enduring affection for Miami and his home region of Northeast Ohio.
