The Vigar family claims the FA did nothing after those warnings, despite Wingate and Finchley being flagged as high-risk.

The FA later launched a safety review of over 900 clubs, updated stadium criteria to ban concrete barriers, and mandated padding for structural walls. Funding from the FA and Premier League supports remediation, with clubs like Bromsgrove Sporting and Sheppey United implementing changes. Bath City, where Fletcher was injured, welcomed the ruling as a step toward improved player safety.
