Following a relatively successful partnership with Valve on the Steam Deck, despite recent hiccups, iFixit has announced and published its Steam Machine teardown and repair guides on its website. Including the Inkterface assembly and "How to Open and Clean a Steam Machine" guides, there are 18 guides in total, ranging from replacing easy components like the front I/O cover and Faceplate to more advanced tutorials like PSU, microSD card reader, heatsink, and front and rear I/O daughterboard replacements.

The full iFixit Steam Machine repair guide list includes Back Panel, Faceplate, Fan, Feet, Front Port Cover, Front USB and Power Button Board, HDMI and DisplayPort Board, Heatsink, Motherboard, Power Supply, RAM, Rear USB and Ethernet Port Board, SSD, SSD Board, Shell, microSD Card Reader, and How To Open and Clean a Steam Machine (2026).

iFixit has yet to start stocking Steam Machine spares, as it does with the Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, but it promises that those will be available "soon."
