Audio-Technica introduces the ATH-AWX7000, its finest closed-back dynamic wooden headphones ever. Featuring newly developed HMD (Hybrid Matrix Diaphragm) technology, these headphones set a new sonic standard for audiophiles. The housings are crafted from Kiso cypress, a prized wood traditionally used for Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, and finished with Echizen lacquer.
The frame and components feature kachi-iro, a traditional Japanese deep navy hue associated with samurai. A lightweight magnesium frame, aluminium sliders, and deerskin earpads ensure comfort and precise fit. Manufactured in Tokyo, Japan, the ATH-AWX7000 uses a 58 mm diaphragm with HXDT molding for extreme accuracy and bass power.
It includes two detachable A2DC cables: a balanced 2.5 m cable with a 4-pin Neutrik connector and an unbalanced 3.0 m cable with a 6.3 mm plug. Each unit comes with a compact carrying case. Now available at a suggested US retail price of $3,799, the ATH-AWX7000 offers extraordinary sonic purity, resolution, and dynamic impact.
