Command Medical Products, an Argosy Healthcare Partners portfolio company, has acquired Injection Moulding & Tooling Services (IMATS), a Costa Rica-based provider of injection molding and tooling services, for undisclosed terms. The deal extends Command's capabilities across the medical device manufacturing value chain and gives the company a third manufacturing site in the medical device hub of Costa Rica.

With IMATS' injection molding and tooling expertise, Command now offers an integrated suite of services spanning component production through finished device assembly, including tooling design and fabrication, injection molding, tube extrusion, RF welding, clean room assembly and packaging. IMATS, headquartered in Cartago, Costa Rica, operates from a 32,000-square-foot facility in the country's Free Trade Zone, providing injection molding, pad printing, assembly and packaging, along with mold tooling design, manufacturing and validation services. The facility has significant available capacity, with the ability to more than double current production volumes.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Ormond Beach, Florida, Command is a contract manufacturer of finished medical devices and components for OEM customers globally, operating ISO 13485-certified, FDA-registered facilities in the US and Central America. Argosy Healthcare Partners is a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on healthcare, partnering with founder-owned businesses with $1 million to $3 million of EBITDA through control transactions.
