Unlike conventional chatbots, Yuanzai World's agents have persistent memory and social relationships, allowing users to define worldviews that bring these agents to life. This approach is centered around a unique feature called 'World-Line Divergence,' inspired by visual novels like Steins;Gate.

This system employs a state machine that tracks 'World Deviation,' enabling players to influence the narrative significantly. For instance, convincing an NPC to change their style can trigger a graph switch, leading to a completely different generated ending, thereby breaking the original script and adding depth to the storytelling. The tech stack includes Python and Java for the backend, with a custom AI orchestration framework.

The models use a hybrid routing system between Gemini, GPT, and DeepSeek, optimized for cost and performance. Milvus is used as the vector database to manage long-term agent memory. By focusing on community engagement and innovative storytelling, Yuanzai World addresses the aimlessness often found in AI RPGs, providing a fresh and immersive experience for players.
