A new modification called Classic 7 transforms Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 into a near-perfect replica of Windows 7. The project recreates the classic operating system's iconic Aero Glass interface, .themepack file support, and beloved desktop gadgets that disappeared in newer Windows versions. A 1:1 recreation of the Out of Box Experience makes the initial setup feel identical to the original.

Windows Media Center remains fully functional, and all the familiar theme elements are preserved. Certain features couldn't be ported—3D window animations for opening, closing, and minimizing windows are absent, along with Flip 3D, as no stable port exists. Some Windows 7 system applications and gadgets may not work due to incompatibilities between the two kernel architectures.

The mod appeals to users who preferred Windows 7's design philosophy and never adjusted to the radical UI changes introduced in Windows 8 and 10. Enterprise environments running LTSC versions now have an option to restore familiar aesthetics without maintaining legacy hardware.
