Warp has launched the Warp Agent CLI, a standalone command-line interface that brings its AI coding agent to any terminal, including Ghostty, iTerm 2, VS Code, and native Windows and Mac terminals.

The CLI offers built-in model routing, includes frontier and open-weight models, and supports customization with custom model routers. It features native support for advanced agent workflows like multi-agent orchestration and cloud agents. Built on Warp's terminal infrastructure, it allows for session multiplexing, enabling capabilities like switching directories within agent sessions, driving full-screen terminal applications such as sqlite and mysql, and running across SSH sessions without requiring remote binary installations.

Key features include persistent sessions, agent-driven interactive applications, seamless terminal input with autodetection and tab completion, and a UI designed for autonomous development. It supports cloud agents and multi-agent workflow orchestration, allowing tasks to be delegated across different models and harnesses. The Warp Agent CLI also offers cost optimization with auto-routing and customizable harnesses, with options for subscription plans starting at $18 per month or ad hoc credits.
