The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned three entities linked to violent far-left terrorism. Autistici Inventati, an Italy-based group, provides digital tools and hosting to extremist cells including the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Palestine Action, a UK-based organization proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK in July 2025, has supported numerous acts of terrorism since 2020. Masar Badil operates as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, and two of its senior leaders were also targeted.

Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent stated that far-left extremists and their enablers will face the full weight of U.S. economic tools. The action aligns with the 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy, which identifies violent far-left groups as one of three major terrorist threats. Treasury's move builds on the State Department's November 2025 action against violent antifascist groups.

Sanctions were imposed under Executive Order 13224 for materially assisting terrorism. OFAC emphasized that constitutionally protected political speech is not targeted, but violent acts intended to intimidate or coerce are defined as terrorism. The designations aim to disrupt financial lifelines and operational infrastructure enabling cross-border violence.
