Stem Deck is a free, open-source stem extraction platform for musicians, producers, and hobbyists. It isolates vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and other elements from audio files using AI-powered Demucs models. Users can drag and drop MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP4, or M4A files, or paste YouTube URLs, directly into the interface. All processing happens locally on the user's machine — no uploads, no cloud storage, no subscriptions.

The tool features a DAW-style multitrack mixer with mute, solo, volume faders, VU meters, and waveform zoom. Users can loop regions, export individual stems or custom mixes, and access a 7th "original" lane that plays the full song minus selected stems for A/B comparison. Stem Deck runs on local hardware with automatic device detection for CUDA (NVIDIA), MPS (Apple Silicon), or CPU fallback.
