Ireland's High Court has granted Sky a court order requiring Revolut Bank UAB to hand over personal details of 304 IPTV subscribers and 10 resellers linked to the defunct 'IPTV is Easy' service. This marks the first time Irish rightsholders have targeted end-users in an IPTV piracy case, following Sky's earlier legal action against Wexford man David Dunbar, who faced a €480,000 damages judgment and €30,000 contempt fine for destroying evidence. Sky's barrister confirmed legal action will target active resellers and some subscribers, aiming to deter Ireland's estimated 400,000 pirate IPTV users.

The move follows a trend seen in France and Italy where subscriber identities are being exposed to combat illegal streaming, though Ireland lacks specific subscriber prosecution precedent. Judge Cregan's order restricts personal data use solely to initiate legal proceedings against alleged infringers.
