Red Grid Link, a new iOS app, enables backcountry teams to navigate and coordinate without cell service. Built on the MGRS engine from Red Grid MGRS, it allows up to eight iPhones to share location over Bluetooth directly, creating a live map of teammates. When someone moves out of range, their position fades as a ghost marker. AES-256-GCM encryption secures all data, and sessions use ECDH P-256 keys.
