A demonstration of ReBirth 338, a browser-based recreation of the classic Roland TB-303 Bass Line synthesizer and TR-808/909 drum machines, is now available online. The project, shared on Hacker News, runs entirely in the browser and aims to faithfully emulate the iconic hardware used in acid house and techno music. It has received 14 points and 4 comments on the platform.
The original ReBirth software, released by Roland in 1996, was discontinued in 2005 due to licensing issues with Native Instruments, who later acquired the rights to the TB-303 and TR-808/909 names.
