Need for Speed Underground 2 is now playable in web browsers via a recompiled PC port. The classic racing title runs at up to 120 fps in widescreen, supporting free roam and online races with friends. The project supports controllers, wheels, and touch controls.
The developer, motivated by a desire to play with his brother after 20 years, shared the port publicly. It requires no microtransactions; everyone receives the full game experience. Supporters can buy the developer a coffee to help cover hosting and development costs, unlocking a Discord role.
Bug reports and questions are handled via the project's Discord channel. Rights holders can contact the developer at legal (at) nfsu2.xyz. Screenshots can be saved using the Escape key or through the in-game Garage menu.
