Motorola routers go dead as MotoSync+ app fails

Motorola's recent Wi‑Fi lineup has become unusable after the MotoSync+ app stopped authenticating devices in mid‑May. The iOS version hangs on a login screen, while Android shows a "Server License Expired" error, preventing new router setups and any factory‑reset actions required by Motorola's own support guides.

Users discovered the outage through complaints on Reddit, Amazon and the App Store, noting that existing networks continue to run only until a reset is needed. The issue affects models ranging from the entry‑level Q15 to higher‑priced configurations sold for $129.99 to $349.99. Motorola has not issued a public statement, and its product pages now return 404 errors, suggesting the company pulled listings without warning.

The app is maintained by Premier LogiTech, the licensing partner behind the Motorola brand, and a brief reply on May 14 blamed a "networking vendor" problem. With premium‑feature subscribers also locked out, many customers are abandoning the hardware in favor of alternative mesh solutions, leaving Motorola's Wi‑Fi portfolio effectively bricked.
