The Mondragon Corporation, founded in 1956 by Father José María Arizmendiarrieta, is a federation of worker cooperatives based in Spain's Basque region. It began with paraffin heaters and has grown into the seventh-largest Spanish company by asset turnover. In 2024, it employed over 70,000 workers across finance, industry, retail, and knowledge sectors.

Mondragon's cooperatives operate under the Statement on the Co-operative Identity. Arizmendiarrieta established a technical college in 1943, which trained future leaders. The first company, Talleres Ulgor (now Fagor Electrodomésticos), was founded in 1955, followed by key institutions like Caja Laboral (1959) and Lagun Aro (1966).

The corporation expanded internationally, establishing numerous production plants abroad to enhance competitiveness and market share. Despite challenges, including the bankruptcy of Fagor Electrodomésticos in 2013, Mondragon continues to foster a humanist concept of business, emphasizing participation, solidarity, and education.
