Microsoft introduces MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a new compact, code-heavy security model designed to handle up to 90% of all security tasks efficiently. This model is integrated into the MDASH platform, enabling the use of larger, more costly models like GPT-5.4 for the remaining 10% of exceptionally difficult tasks. This combination, leveraging rich historical training data, delivers 96% on Cyber Gym and a 50% cost saving compared to previous offerings.

Alongside MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, Microsoft is launching Perception, an agentic security system providing teams of agents for continuous monitoring, patching, and threat vector closure. Perception will also increasingly utilize MAI-Cyber-1-Flash for various security workflows.

The offering emphasizes three core pillars: Model (MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, built in-house), Data (decades of security signals and exploit history), and Harness (MDASH, tuned by security experts with over 100 agents). MAI-Cyber-1-Flash is developed with a security-first approach, rigorously evaluated and assessed for trust and enterprise-grade controls.
