Finding the fastest driver isn't just about ranking by speed statistic. You might think Bowser or Wario are obvious choices, but you can't rely solely on speed to find the optimal build. You must consider acceleration as well, making trade-offs between speed and acceleration.

Some options are always dominated. Take Koopa for example: Cat Peach has more speed for the same acceleration, and Toadette has more acceleration for the same speed. If you want to win, never let Koopa sit in your kart! Efficient drivers that are never dominated on both stats form the Pareto front.

Not all frontier elements are equally good. You probably won't pick a driver on the edge because you want balance. Pareto efficiency objectively filters suboptimal choices, but final decision depends on your play style and skills, weighting one statistic over the other to find the frontier component that suits you best.
