By analyzing the mapping between the binary natural order and the ancient King Wen sequence, the cycle decomposition yields [52, 10, 2] with zero fixed points. This means 81% of hexagrams form a single large cycle.

This discovery reveals a hidden mathematical pattern in a 3,000-year-old Chinese text that has not been documented in existing literature. The King Wen sequence, dating to around 1000 BCE, represents one of two canonical orderings of the hexagrams. When treated as a permutation in S₆₄, this structure shows how hexagrams transform between the two arrangements.
