Harvest Price Hike 1500% After Bending Spoons Buy

UK businesses using Harvest for invoicing and timesheet tracking are facing price increases of up to 1500% following its acquisition by Italian tech company Bending Spoons in 2025. Richard Haldenby, head of UK consultancy Salentis, saw his monthly bill jump from $130 to $2,110, calling the change "daylight robbery". Other users report similar hikes, with one US customer facing an annual increase from $2,800 to $23,000.

The new usage-based pricing model charges businesses based on active projects, clients, tasks, and invoiced revenue rather than a flat monthly fee per user. Many customers on annual plans only discovered the increases when renewal notices arrived.

Haldenby was offered a discount reducing his bill to $1,309 if paid upfront, but declined, stating it would "delay the inevitable" and force him to migrate to a less satisfactory service. Analysts criticize the lack of pricing transparency, with Mark Peacock of Price Maker calling it "extremely bad practice".

The price hike reflects a strategic shift from growth to monetization under Bending Spoons ownership. The company has raised prices across multiple acquisitions including Evernote, Vimeo, and We Transfer since its 2013 founding.
