At this year’s I/O, Google rolled out a suite of new Gemini models aimed at unifying text, image and video generation. The flagship Gemini Omni can edit any video element from a simple prompt, while Gemini Omni Flash arrives today inside the Gemini app. Faster, more capable Gemini 3.5 Flash replaces the 3.1 Pro baseline and is instantly accessible via Google’s products and APIs.

Search received a visual overhaul, with an AI‑powered box that accepts images, files or Chrome tabs alongside text. Integrated Gemini 3.5 Flash powers new AI Overviews and agentic features such as real‑time alerts, custom coding widgets and a Universal Cart that lets users add items from Gmail or YouTube and checkout through Google or partner sites. The rollout begins today.

The Gemini app debuted a Neural Expressive UI with fluid animations, haptic feedback and regional dialect support later this year. Gemini Spark, a 24/7 personal AI agent, launches for AI Ultra subscribers next week, while Android XR audio glasses—co‑designed with Gentle Monster, Warby Parker and Samsung—offer hands‑free Gemini responses this fall. Google cut its top‑tier AI Ultra plan to $100 Ultra, down from $250.
