An investigation by Earshot and Forensic Architecture reveals Israeli soldiers executed 15 Palestinian aid workers in southern Gaza on March 23, 2025, firing nearly 1,000 bullets during a two-hour assault. The report found at least eight shots were fired at point blank range, with some victims killed from as close as one meter away.

The massacre occurred when aid workers responded to an Israeli airstrike in Al-Hashashin. Video and audio recordings from the scene, combined with satellite imagery and eyewitness testimony, show soldiers ambushed clearly marked emergency vehicles despite no threat to their position. The investigation documented 910 gunshots across three recordings, with 844 fired in just five and a half minutes.

Israeli military internal inquiries cleared soldiers of wrongdoing, calling the incident a combat zone action. However, the report's findings contradict this assessment, showing systematic execution rather than battlefield engagement. The investigation will be presented at British parliament, highlighting international concerns about accountability for the incident that aid organizations called "one of the darkest moments" of the conflict.
