/e/OS is a privacy-focused mobile operating system that replaces Google services with open-source alternatives. The project, developed by the e Foundation, offers a deGoogled version of Android that maintains compatibility with standard Android apps while eliminating data collection.

The system includes Murena's ethical search engine, microG services, and local data storage options. Academic researchers from the University of Edinburgh and Trinity College Dublin have validated its privacy claims. The OS comes with carefully selected default applications and an App Lounge for additional downloads.

Key features include Advanced Privacy controls that block trackers and ads by default, parental controls, and Account Manager for syncing data across providers. Users can purchase pre-installed Murena smartphones or install the OS themselves using the web-based installer. The ecosystem also offers Murena Workspace accounts with encrypted storage and email services.
