Cursor has officially been acquired by Space X, completing the process that began in April with our partnership with Space XAI to accelerate model training. Since launch, better models have expanded what people can build—from completing code snippets to creating AI teammates that take on real work. Together, we will push that ambition further.

Access to the world’s largest GPUs fleet gives us the compute needed to build stronger, more economical models, allowing us to offer customers more capable tools at lower cost. The new release, Grok 4.6, released Wednesday, already showcases what we can now build together. Space X is building the capacity to scale intelligence far beyond today’s limits, while Cursor remains a familiar platform where that intelligence becomes useful. For us, this opens a much larger horizon than we started with, yet keeps the workflow familiar.

We still want to help people with ambitious ideas spend less time writing code and more time solving harder problems. This partnership also enables us to explore new use cases, from advanced research to enterprise deployment, leveraging SpaceX's infrastructure for rapid experimentation. As we iterate, users will benefit from continuous improvements in model accuracy, latency, and cost-efficiency.
