A new open-source tool called Byesky allows users to completely wipe their Bluesky social media accounts. Developed by Pirhoo, the tool automates the deletion of all posts, likes, follows, and profile data from the decentralized network. Unlike manual account deletion processes that may leave behind traces, Byesky ensures a thorough digital cleanup.
The project has gained attention on Hacker News, where it received 22 points and sparked 15 comments. Users concerned about digital footprints or wishing to start fresh on the platform can now use this utility to erase their online presence entirely. The tool operates directly through Bluesky's API and requires user authentication to function.
