Researchers demonstrated the capabilities of classical Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, achieving strong results on the Kaggle Spooky Author Identification task. An end-to-end experiment explored methods from TF-IDF and Naive Bayes-Support Vector Machine baselines to a tuned stacked ensemble, including a survey of compact representation methods classical NLP limits. This work highlights that sophisticated classical approaches can still yield competitive performance, even against modern deep learning models, in specific classification scenarios.
