MLB Injury Updates
The slate of Saturday afternoon baseball was marred by several mid-game exits, forcing teams to reassess immediate roster depth. Plate umpire Ron Kulpa exited the contest between the Miami Marlins & New York Yankees in the fourth inning after sustaining a blow to the mask from a foul tip, requiring immediate medical attention. Compounding the day's physical setbacks, Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Sal Frelick departed his split doubleheader opener during the fourth inning due to reported left side tightness. Furthermore, the New York Mets confirmed that outfielder Juan Soto underwent an MRI revealing a strained right calf, putting his immediate return status in doubt as the team pushes for the postseason.
