The iQOO 16 became official in China earlier this week, and now a tipster on X claims the phone has started testing procedures in India, making a launch in the coming weeks likely.
However, the big question remains pricing. In China, it starts at CNY 5,999 (about INR 86,000 or $894). The tipster suggests it could be priced closer to INR 100,000 ($1,039), which would be a tough sell compared to its predecessor's INR 72,999 ($759) launch price from just a year ago.
Despite the potential pricing concerns, the iQOO 16 packs impressive specs: a 6.85-inch Samsung-made M16 AMOLED display with 1440x3168 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 10,000-nit peak brightness. It features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, 12/16GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, triple 50MP cameras (main with OIS, periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, ultrwide with autofocus), a 32MP selfie camera, and an 8,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It runs Android 17 with Origin OS 7.
