England have named the uncapped Aneurin Donald and Henry Crocombe in their squads for the white-ball series against Sri Lanka. Derbyshire opener Donald has been included in the 16-player squad for the three-match T20 series, while Sussex seamer Crocombe makes the 16-man line-up for the three one-day internationals.

Donald scored 489 runs in 12 matches captaining Derbyshire Falcons in the Vitality Blast and hit the most sixes in this year's competition with 37. He also helped Trent Rockets to the final of the Hundred, which the 29-year-old's side lost to Manchester Super Giants. Crocombe, 24, has taken hat-tricks in his past two County Championship matches and has three five-wicket hauls this season.

England men's national selector Marcus North said the pair are "two promising players who have earned their places on the back of impressive performances in domestic cricket." Meanwhile, all-rounder Jacob Bethell will again be absent after undergoing successful surgery on his injured knee earlier this week. Batter Phil Salt is unavailable because of a right quad injury, while bowler Jamie Overton is in both squads.

Durham seamer Brydon Carse has not been included in either squad. The 31-year-old was dropped for the second Test against Pakistan after he was briefly arrested following an incident outside a Derby nightclub on 22 August. The ECB said it is important for him to work through the issues and take time for a proper reset.
