New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan will miss Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions due to a hamstring injury. Coach Kellen Moore ruled him out on Wednesday. Jordan hasn't practiced since Aug. 6, but he was not placed on injured reserve. This will be the third game Jordan has missed in his career, with the previous two coming in 2021 (COVID-19) and 2022 (orbital bone). He returned to play the rest of those seasons and hasn't missed a game in the last three years. Coach Moore said Jordan is progressing well and the team will take it week by week.

Meanwhile, running back Alvin Kamara returned to practice on Wednesday in a limited capacity after spraining his MCL during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 18. He was expected to be out at least a month. Running back Kendre Miller also returned to practice after leaving early last week, while Audric Estime (thigh) did not practice.
