EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert forcefully rejected questions about the team's leadership amid an 0-2 start, cutting off a reporter Wednesday. "I don't think there's a lack of vocal leadership at all. So, I'm going to stop you right there and say that it's very present," Herbert said. "I don't think anyone is panicked or worried."

The Chargers have lost to the Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals, teams that held the first and third draft picks last season. The offense, expected to excel under new coordinator Mike McDaniel, has struggled. Herbert showed rare frustration Sunday, slamming his fists after a bad snap to Tre' Harris.
