Kawhi Leonard is excited to be back with the Toronto Raptors, looking to move past the investigation that clouded his LA Clippers tenure. "I'm excited to be here. I know why some of you guys came. You want to hear about the investigation, but you know, talking with the NBA and the [NBPA], I think the best decision is to move forward and focus on my time being a Toronto Raptor," Leonard said Monday.

Leonard's contract from his previous Toronto stint led to a yearlong investigation. The Clippers were found guilty of salary cap circumvention, with owner Steve Ballmer suspended for one year. Leonard must pay the league $700,000. The investigation delayed a trade that sent Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and picks to Los Angeles for Leonard, who then signed a two-year, $115 million extension.

Leonard's 2018-19 season in Toronto was stellar, averaging 26.6 points and winning Finals MVP. Last season, he averaged a career-high 27.9 points. Coach Darko Rajakovic said, "I want Kawhi to play 82 games and 48 minutes every night," but acknowledged his age and injury history require caution.

Leonard returns to face the Clippers on Nov. 2.
