Meta unveiled new wearables at Meta Connect 2026, including virtual reality glasses and audio-only Ray-Ban Meta specs. The Meta VR Glasses, priced at $1,300 and launching next spring, weigh 100 grams—five times lighter than the Quest 3—and feature magnesium alloy frames, pancake lenses, 5K display, Dolby Vision and Atmos support, and IMAX Enhanced certification. Powered by a tethered puck with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset, they offer up to three hours of high-resolution playback and support Xbox Cloud Gaming, Touch Plus controllers, and productivity via virtual keyboard or physical input.

Holographic avatars and Meta AI integration enable voice, eye, and gesture control in apps like WhatsApp and Zoom. The Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, designed for all-day wear at 43 grams, provide up to 12 hours of battery life with a charging case adding 48 hours, featuring AI voice assistance, music/podcast playback, and calls. Available in Clubmaster style, they address privacy concerns by omitting cameras.

Meta also announced updates to Beat Saber, entertainment content for VR, and the Muse AI agent coming to glasses.
