Shortcuts' 'Describe a Shortcut' may soon support third-party app actions; a new feature flag in iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 lets the model choose actions from third-party apps.

Aaron Perris discovered CarPlay Ultra code references a 'Drive Mode Theme' that changes gauge style, color, and syncs ambient lighting. CarPlay Ultra is limited to Aston Martin vehicles, but new theming may signal expansion to another automaker.

iOS 27.2 will add 'Extended Erase' to more thoroughly wipe iPhone data, with more descriptive language in beta 2. Perris also found evidence of a demo mode for Apple's forthcoming 'Home Pad' smart home device.
