Saffie Osborne, 24, says the "fear of failure" has vanished after becoming the first woman to win a British Classic at the St Leger. The jockey, who drives about 65,000 miles a year and has endured serious falls, described the victory as a lifelong dream achieved at Doncaster. Osborne noted the sport's male dominance, highlighting only six women have ridden in Classics over 250 years.

Her win on Highwayman for trainer Joseph O'Brien came due to an injury to Dylan Browne Mc Monagle. She emphasized that gender does not affect her opportunities, feeling she is "one of the lads" in the weighing room. Currently eighth in the Flat Jockeys Championship with 60 winners since May, she dreams of becoming champion jockey, a first for a woman, and credits her agent Tony Hind for her rapid rise.
