Intel's upcoming Nova Lake mobile chips, featuring 12 Xe-core graphics, may support DDR5-8000 memory via CSODIMM modules, according to leaker Golden Pig Upgrade Pack on Weibo. If true, this would mark the first mobile Nova Lake variant to officially support DDR5, a shift from the soldered LPDDR memory common in thin-and-light laptops. Current Panther Lake systems, like the Core Ultra X7 358H, don't officially list DDR5 support, though ASRock Industrial already ships mini PCs with DDR5-7200 SO-DIMM slots on that platform, and Intel includes this in its Core Ultra Series 3 developer systems.

Nova Lake-S, the desktop version, has already been linked to DDR5-8000 via leaked B960 chipset details and platform documents, suggesting Intel may extend this memory ceiling to mobile. CSODIMM support would allow OEMs to offer upgradable RAM, an increasingly rare feature in slim designs. However, this is just a single leak, not confirmed by Intel, so treat the exact speeds with caution.
