Kylian Mbappé scored twice and assisted once as Real Madrid defeated Rayo Vallecano 4-1 in La Liga on Saturday. The France forward opened the scoring with a 14th-minute penalty after a foul by Álvaro Carreras, then assisted Carreras three minutes later to make it 2-0, becoming the first Madrid player with a goal and assist in the opening 17 minutes of a Bernabéu La Liga game since James Rodríguez in January 2016.

Jude Bellingham extended Madrid's lead to 3-0 before halftime, but coach José Mourinho was unlikely pleased with the second-half display that allowed Sergio Camello to pull one back for Rayo in the 51st minute. Mbappé sealed the win in first-minute stoppage time, finishing a pass from Arda Güler.

The victory marked Mbappé's seventh goal in six games across all competitions this season, putting him top of the La Liga scoring charts with six goals. He also extended his record for most multi-goal games in La Liga (15) since joining Madrid ahead of the 2024-25 season, well ahead of Barcelona's Raphinha (11). Madrid bounced back from their first defeat of the campaign against Real Betis.
