Humphrey Ker, the actor and comedian who helped orchestrate the Hollywood takeover at Wrexham alongside Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, has stepped down from the club's board. Ker served as executive director when the American stars acquired the Racecourse Ground-based side in 2021 and became a central figure in the Emmy-winning 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary series. He withdrew from day-to-day operations in 2024 and has now formally relinquished his board role and trustee position with the Wrexham AFC Foundation.

In a statement on the club website, the 43-year-old said: "Working for and representing Wrexham and the wider town has been the greatest honour of my life." He added that the club's evolution made it increasingly difficult for him to contribute effectively, prompting his decision to step back.

McElhenney and Reynolds paid tribute, saying: "Humphrey has been a key piece of the Wrexham story from day one and his kindness, humour, and height, will be missed but never forgotten."

Ker will remain a supporter of the club as it continues its journey in the football league system.
