Chelsea are ready to reignite their interest in AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné when the transfer window reopens in January, according to Tuttomercato. The Blues may face competition from Liverpool, who are also keen on bolstering their midfield options. A reported €60 million offer from Chelsea was rejected at the end of August. The France international, who starred at this summer's World Cup, is under contract at Roma until June 2029.

Bayern Munich are prepared to pounce on Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz if an opportunity arises, reports TEAMtalk. Wirtz, 23, joined Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial €100 million in summer 2025 but has managed just five goals and three assists in 33 Premier League appearances. Liverpool are not currently looking to sell the Germany international, though that stance could shift if his form does not improve.
